With a priority on (soccer & futsal) player development, Des Rice, (Director of Futsal & Head Trainer) and Kelley Daron (Futsal Program Manager, Trainer), of the AVSC Futsal League cater to any team/player, ranging from those who have extensive futsal experience to those who are entirely new to futsal; All teams, newly forming and previously experienced are welcome and encouraged to join the AVSC Futsal League this fall/winter 2010-2011 at The Hab.
Futsal is an exciting game that proves to be more effective and efficient than any other training component to enhance players' technical skills. The fast rhythm of this 5v5 game played within the confinement of a relatively small court significantly increases the number of touches each player has on the ball. Your players' participation in the AVSC Futsal League will enhance their individual technical skills and your team's synergy. Your soccer team's players will evolve right before your eyes, developing incredible ball control and rapid, concise passing skills. With the rapid pace and frequent ball touches in futsal, the team’s participation in the league was a vital winter development & training exercise for the Club’s GU13/14 players and team as a whole. In addition to playing futsal, the team, like others, plays indoor soccer and outdoor soccer in the MAPLE and MASC leagues.
